Postdoctoral Fellow

The University of Utah seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work in an area related to society, water, and climate. Please see the job posting here.

Possible research topics will span environment, water, climate, sustainability issues, or climate change education and communication. The successful candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of University of Utah mentors, and could be housed in whichever home department is most appropriate. The initial appointment will be one year, with the opportunity of renewal for a second year, subject to satisfactory progress. This opportunity represents a collaboration between the Society, Water, and Climate program, the Global Change and Sustainability Center (GCSC), and the Sustainability Office at the University of Utah. Postdoctoral projects will include independent climate-related research, opportunities to help implement the University's anticipated 2023 Climate Action Plan, engagement with the UC3 fellows program, and university level teaching experience if desired.

YOUNG SCHOLAR GRANT OPPORTUNITY

The Bonderman Field Station at Rio Mesa solicits applications annually for the Young Scholar Grant Program. University of Utah junior faculty and graduate students from any discipline are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to projects most consistent with the mission and values of Bonderman Field Station at Rio Mesa. Past awards have gone to researchers in Geology, Biology, Urban Planning, Theater, Art, Music, Anthropology, and Environmental Humanities. We continue to welcome applicants from these departments, but also encourage applicants from departments without a history of awards to apply
